2 years of aphids reduction on Raspberries with LIGHT CASCADE® Technology
Raspberry trial at ADESVA: Season 2019 - 2020
ADESVA measured the following results when comparing the cover for Macro Tunnels with LIGHT CASCADE technology to the standard cover:
- Precocity: in flowering: +34%, in early marketable yield: +37%
- Yield Gain: Final marketable yield: +13% with an increased fruit n°/plant: +20%
- Fruit Quality: Sugar content: +0.5° Brix
- Improved plant Health:Aphids reduction: -39%

For this 2nd year on the same crop and variety, ADESVA measured the following results when comparing the cover for Macro Tunnels with LIGHT CASCADE technology to the standard cover:
- Precocity: in flowering: 1 week in advance, in early marketable yield: +26% and more fruits/plant
- 2 fertigation strategies were applied: classic fertigation and a -34% fertigation
- Filomena storm: From January 6 till 19, 2021, temperatures were -1°C impacted the season negativiley as plants were already in high production cycle.
- Fruit Quality: Similar
- Improved plant Health: Aphids reduction: -62%, confirming the last uear results
Not only Aphids reduction was noticed this year but also other improved plant resistance:
- Thrips: -54,3%
- Red Spiders: -15.3%
- Plants with rust: -42.8%
